Butch Walker

Tell us a little about yourself, and what do you like to do most outside of work?

My wife Karana and I have been married for 33 years and have five grown children, three biological and two adopted from Korea, and one daughter-in-law. We are natives of Oklahoma and lived in the Oklahoma City area for about 20 years before moving to Little Rock in 2005 to work for FamilyLife, Cru’s marriage and family ministry. I spent ten years leading technology at FamilyLife before leaving to become an executive pastor at our local church. As an Eagle Scout and long-time Scoutmaster, in 2018, I took a position with the Boy Scouts of America as the Program and Marketing Director for the Quapaw Area Council. I worked with volunteers to conduct about 30 Scouting events each year.

For me, life is about making a lasting impact on the lives of others. I hope to do that in the organizations that I serve, but I also try to do that by serving as an elder in my church and working with young people through Scouting. When I’m not busy with all that, I enjoy following my favorite sports teams, most of all my beloved Sooners. I am excited to be a part of the Edafio team as we move into the next chapter of our growth as technology partners in this region.

What brought you to Edafio, and what does your job entail?

When I recently decided to return to my first love and get back into the technology space, a good friend recommended I check out Edafio Technology Partners. As I read about the company and our Core Values, they resonated with the things that are important to me. I knew this was the kind of organization I wanted to be a part of. I will be serving our Core Care Plus clients as a Client Engagement Leader / VCIO, where I will have the opportunity to partner with client leadership to find ways to best leverage technology to accomplish their mission.
