Give What You Can Food and Fund Drive

As we enter a new year and say goodbye to 2019 and the flurry of the “holidaze,” we at Edafio have decided to start 2020 off with a resolution to give back in a fight against hunger.

Did you know that one in four Arkansans struggle with hunger every day?

And, according to Feeding America, a national network of food banks, 42 million individuals, including 13 million children and about five million people who are age 50 and older – do not have enough food to eat.

Yet one thing is certain: there is great power in one human giving food to another human that can never be replicated. As a company and with the help of our friends and family, we can help eliminate hunger from our communities, which is more important now than ever.

Food banks and pantries often receive the majority of their donations during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons; However, hunger is an ongoing epidemic. If anything, food insecurity becomes more acute as winter drags on and donations dwindle. January and February can be especially cruel months families on the brink

How can you help?

We encourage everyone in the NWA and Central Arkansas area to participate in the Edafio Give What You Can Food and Fund Drive! To make a food donation, please bring your non-perishable and monetary contributions to any of our three locations in North Little RockConway, and RogersCollection bins will be located at the front entrance at each location. On Monday, January 20th, we will distribute the items to NWA Food Bank in NWA and Amboy Community Food Pantry in North Little Rock.

You also have the option to give monetarily by making an online donation at nwafoodbank.org. When you check out online, remember to write Edafio on the form, so the contribution is counted towards our Give What You Can Food and Fund Drive goal. Amboy Food Pantry happily accepts checks. Please make the check out to Amboy Community Food Pantry. For more information about the two organizations contact details are below:
