The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, getting to know our coworkers better as people can be challenging. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people and their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.

We hope you find each Edafio associate story as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.

This month, we celebrate our associate Freddy Winstead. Freddy is a highly respected Engineer who has been with Edafio for 20 years. He is thoughtful and cautious when making IT decisions that will impact his clients.

How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?

I have had the privilege of serving Edafio for two decades. Although I transitioned from the CoreCare team to an application consultant, my job responsibilities are still being shaped and defined.

Freddy has been the face of Edafio for over 20 years in so many Arkansas healthcare practices. His commitment to client success continues to be outstanding.  His support to keep these types of clients up and running has undoubtedly positively impacted many of our families or us directly. Just take a moment to think about the importance of these clinics being able to see patients, document and bill for this service at all times WHILE they have transitioned from paper-based medical records to now electronic medical records with Edafio’s assistance and dedication from our staff like Freddy.
I am excited to have Freddy transitioning to my team to support the future growth of Edafio in professional consulting services especially with a strong focus on application consulting.

Valerie Moring, Healthcare and Cybersecurity Team Lead

What advice would you provide to someone interested in your field, i.e., IT?

It is crucial to prioritize the client’s needs above all else, making ethical decisions that benefit them. Additionally, building a personal connection with clients fosters satisfaction and loyalty. My experience of having several clients for over 20 years is a testament to this principle.

What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?

At the moment, I am engrossed in binge-watching “The Chosen,” a captivating series that delves into the lives impacted by Jesus during his time on earth. The show is exceptional, and I’m eagerly anticipating the release of season 4.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why? this?

Jesus Christ – Why? He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His teachings were\are amazing!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

I want to go on a Mediterranean cruise to Italy and Greece.

Everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?

While employed at MedEvolve, I wasn’t actively seeking new employment opportunities. However, Lainie, who was working for JPMS at the time, approached me about a potential position at Edafio. Admittedly, I was unfamiliar with the company, but I submitted my resume nonetheless. After Lainie shared it with Gene Scott and I underwent interviews with Gene and Kendall, I knew that Edafio was where I wanted to build my career.

Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Freddy, visit our careers page to learn more.
