Business Development Executive

We are looking for a full time Business Development Executive to join our team in Northwest Arkansas.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Executive (BDE) has the exciting responsibility of being the catalyst for Edafio’s growth in the marketplace. Business Development Executives are responsible for business development by identifying new business opportunities for Edafio through successful prospecting, developing those prospects into qualified opportunities, and driving those opportunities to a successful close. Successful BDE’s can quickly identify if a prospect should be nurtured or qualified out of the pipeline and have the ability to quickly react to market forces outside of their control.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, and, two (2) or more years of outside technology sales experience (customer-facing)
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build a pipeline, and achieve a consistent close rate
  • Proven track record in developing new relationships with customers and the ability to translate client business needs into solutions
  • Proficient with MS Office / M365, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Disciplined use of tools for sales activity tracking such as Salesforce and/or HubSpot
  • Consistent top performer
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respectfully challenge prospects to achieve the best result for them
  • Able to sell through pricing compression and maintain appropriate margins on new sales
  • Self-starter with the ability to build relationships, communicate product knowledge, and close deals quickly
  • Ability to solve problems with critical thinking, integrity-based judgment, and strong decision-making skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely and effectively with team members across departments and at all levels of the organization

Nice to have skills:

  • The preferred candidate will have prior experience in IT Managed Services or Technology Services
  • Experience with systems integration, cloud hosting, cybersecurity, subscription software services, or other relevant IT experience
  • ConnectWise, Service Now are preferred technology desired in the selected candidate

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Developing regional sales territory from base in Northwest Arkansas
  • Successfully prospect new opportunities via established relationships, channel partners, and general networking
  • Responsible for business development within assigned accounts/territory
  • Develop a territory plan, review with sales management, and execute on that plan
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategy
  • Manage opportunities and updates in the CRM tool
  • Prospect, develop, negotiate, and close new business
  • Work closely with other Edafio teams to ascertain the proper scope
  • Interpret key areas where Edafio can help a prospect succeed and advocate for that prospect through the internal selling process (scoping / pricing/opportunity development)
  • Participate in trade shows and local area networking events
  • Travel as required by the sales situation (day trips/very limited overnight)
  • Navigate prospect organizations to locate and build relationships with key buyers and influencers
  • Ability and drive to work independently and in a team environment

Full time /Exempt / Standard Workdays & Hours / Some on-call may be required

Physical demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting of work equipment such as laptop, or driving to the work site to meet with client(s).
