Financial Analyst

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Summary of the Role:

The Financial Analyst’s responsibility is to support consolidated operating and financial planning efforts including monthly, quarterly, and annual earnings reports, annual operating and long-term financial plans, strategic business reviews, direct support of new initiatives, and various ad hoc projects for Edafio.

Required Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, management reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Flexibility and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in M365 including Microsoft Excel (working knowledge of Pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and contribute as a leader in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Exhibit excellent team collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Friendly, positive attitude and strong work ethic with a willingness to go the extra mile for clients, team members, and vendors.

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics or Accounting

Preferred Skills, Education or Experience:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Power BI configuration and reporting
  • NetSuite and ADP experience are a plus.

Travel: 

Minimal local travel possible 

Status: 

Full-time/Exempt / Standard Workdays & Hours (30+ hours /week) / Some on-call may be required

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, such as laptop, server equipment, and, driving to the work site to meet with client(s).

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the company in partnership with the leadership team.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly board pack.
  • Work closely with the Controller to prepare the quarterly bank reporting and ensure the company is within all its covenants at all times.
  • Work closely with the CFO to continually develop and improve monthly reporting to our Private Equity partner.
  • Work closely with the Controller to provide variance analysis of monthly financial results across all statements (P&L, BS, CF) including the interpretation of current month performance as a predictive tool for the attainment of quarterly and full-year performance expectations.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, headcount, and capital expenditures.
  • Assist with the continuous development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan, and Modeling tools
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis to support corporate initiatives in cost management, profitability analysis, M&A, and other special projects.
  • Lead Quarterly and Monthly Financial reporting presentations.
  • Collect, analyze and disseminate industry, market, and competitive intelligence.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Monitor the impact of new investments (capex, greenfields & acquisitions) and prepare a post-audit analysis of variances from expectations.
