Network Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Network Engineers design, build and manage the infrastructure of information technology (IT) systems connectivity in terms of data, voice, calls, videos, and wireless network services. A network engineer’s fundamental goal is to provide maximum network infrastructure, security, and performance to the end-users.

REQUIRED SKILLS

3+ years of experience with routing, switching and wireless technologies

Knowledge of brands such as Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Meraki, CheckPoint and Palo Alto

Knowledge of MS Windows Server Platforms and Desktop Operating Systems

Ability to work on multiple, moderate to high complex assignments simultaneously

Strong written and verbal communication skills for working in a team and with clients

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent time management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, install, configure, and support network technologies including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless access points.

Work with various engineering teams within Edafio to architect and implement advanced business solutions to meet customer needs in critical environments.

Report to team leads with work progress on a regular basis as required.

Manage customer tickets and provide detailed documentation to required parties.

Participate in all required activities as scheduled by leadership.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience configuring next-generation firewalls

Industry-standard certifications (Cisco, Aruba, Check Point, etc..)

Experience with device monitoring and logging tools (SEIM products, Wireshark)

Experience developing and maintaining network documentation

Experience with change management, product lifecycles and customer service
