Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer will develop and maintain functional and secure networks. They will be responsible for mentoring a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize information technology infrastructure for our clients.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.
Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to client needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 4+ years hands-on experience of Cisco routing and switch products including experience in some of the following series/models – Catalyst 9300, Catalyst 9400, Catalyst 3560, Catalyst 3850, Nexus 3000, Nexus 9000, ISR 1000, ISR 4000, ASR 1000
  • 4+ years of enterprise experience with Aruba and/or Cisco wireless solutions with working knowledge of access points, antennas, mobility controllers/LAN controllers, wireless IP telephony concepts
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise SD-WAN vendors such as Silver-Peak, Cisco, Meraki, Versa, Aruba, etc…
  • Advanced knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 concepts (CDP, LLDP, STP, VLANs, Routing protocols, QoS, HSRP, etc..)
  • Experience using wireless diagnostic tool sets to diagnose wireless issues, optimize Wi-Fi networks and produce heatmaps using surveying tools such as Ekahau
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds and Manage Engine
  • Knowledge of LAN cabling standards, copper and fiber
  • Basic knowledge of next generation security concepts (firewalls, endpoint protection, etc…)
  • Basic understanding of voice over IP in an enterprise network, such as SIP and basic QoS
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and report to team lead as required
  • Participate in network team on-call rotation
  • Effectively communicate within the network team and among other teams
  • Provide superior customer service at all times
  • Ability to accurately document time
  • Travel as required. Travel is minimal, but occasionally required
  • Able to work nights and weekends as required for client maintenance
  • Participate in mentoring of junior engineers
  • Able to manage multiple projects and clients

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 6+ years of in-depth hands-on experience of Cisco routing and switch products including experience in some of the following series/models – Catalyst 9300, Catalyst 9400, Catalyst 3560, Catalyst 3850, Nexus 3000, Nexus 9000, ISR 1000, ISR 4000, ASR 1000
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience Aruba network product lines including the following series/models – 2500, 2900, 5400, 3800, 8300
  • 6+ years of enterprise experience with Aruba and/or Cisco wireless solutions with working knowledge of access points, antennas, mobility controllers/LAN controllers, wireless IP telephony, outdoor wireless
  • 2+ year of hands-on experience with enterprise SD-WAN vendors such as Silver-Peak, Cisco, Meraki, Versa, Aruba, etc…
  • Professional and/or Expert level certification in the Aruba or Cisco product lines for Wireless, Switching, Routing, and/or Design
  • 2+ years of Network Access Control experience (Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass)
  • Experience with change management processes
  • Experience with ticketing systems (such as ConnectWise, Remedy, and ServiceDesk)
  • Familiarity with Multi-Service Provider operations including:
    • Technical: site assessments, inventory, diagram creation, change management
    • Non-Technical: bidding, quoting, client relations
