Senior Systems Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Northwest Arkansas.

The Senior Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering services, consulting, and support in a multi-customer environment. These responsibilities will require the candidate to be a Subject Matter Expert across systems technologies, services, and additional related components (as listed for this position).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2-5 years of Systems Engineer experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
  • Server Hardware and Infrastructure design and implementation
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, or hosted email solutions
  • Works well in a “One Team” environment with knowledge sharing and mentoring
  • Strong customer service, written and oral communications skills
  • Support methodology and problem management skills are required to exceed client business objectives, and expectations

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Microsoft MCSA or equivalent experience
  • VMWARE and HyperV virtualization, designing, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of firewall and switching technologies
  • Knowledge of Storage Area Network technology provisioning, configuration, and SAN equipment configurations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily interaction with clients, business partners, vendors, and Edafio team members
  • Design and implement enterprise servers solutions
  • Design and implement SAN storage solutions
  • Design and support Active Directory topologies
  • Design, implement and support new technologies
  • Providing consulting to our customer base on integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure
  • Building and maintaining networks to meet specific compliance needs
  • Documentation of end-to-end application flows
  • Performing impact analysis, modeling, capacity planning
  • Software/hardware device upgrades
  • Adherence to systems standards and policies/procedural documentation

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a consulting or in a managed services environment

TRAVEL: 

  • 0%- 10% locally

 STATUS:

  • Full time /Exempt / Standard Workdays & Hours / Some on-call may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting of work equipment such as laptop, or driving to the work site to meet with the client(s).
