Celebrating Carson Seelinger as our September Associate Spotlight

Carson Seelinger

We are thrilled to pay tribute to our September Associate Spotlight, Carson Seelinger. Carson started as an intern many years ago and is now one of Edafio’s Client Engagement Leaders.

The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people and their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.

We hope you find each Edafio associate story as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.

Carson Seelinger - September Associate Spotlight

How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?

I got my undergrad in electronics and computer engineering technology from UALR (GO Trojans!) and my MBA through Arkansas State.

I have been at Edafio for over 2 1/2 years in the Client Engagement Leader role. That job entails that I’m the primary POC for both Edafio and the client, including being on-site five days a week working on the day-to-day operational side of things, as well as the inner workings of everything on the client side and the strategic vision for the client. It could range from being a project manager to being more of an architect’s role handling that long-term plan for the IT department and everything in between.

“Over the past year, I have admired Carson’s attention to detail while maintaining his passion for serving. Carson’s keen mind and awareness of today’s technology is an asset to Edafio and our clients. Everyone who works with him is thankful to have Carson on their team. I appreciate Carson’s friendship and abilities. Now, if I could only figure out how to clone him.”

What is your favorite place in the world?

I love being at home. That’s my comfort zone. We recently moved into our house about a year ago, and we have this front porch swing where we sit and watch the kiddos play in the front yard and all that good stuff.
However, we did get up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this past spring, which was awesome. It was a fantastic trip. The natural aspects of Jackson Hole mixed with the incredible food and the restaurants, and everything else.

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

The best lesson I’ve learned is always to be prepared. I’ve come to realize this through experience. I mean, whether it’s meetings, lunches or just casual conversations, I always find it beneficial to have some conversation starters in the back of your head. Be prepared for whatever the meeting will cover because you never know who will randomly pop into that meeting. I think there’s an emphasis on a more structured approach to things.

What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?

Some people at Edafio may know, but maybe not everyone. So, I have three kids. Our oldest is 7; our middle is 3 1/2, and our youngest just turned 1 1/2. But in addition to the three girls, we also have baby #4 on the way.

What is your Crystal Knows Type?

Harmonizer. Harmonizers are likely to be very social, trusting, and accepting of others. He is likely seen as a great listener and makes new friends often, with the ability to open up and connect emotionally quicker than most people.

Three words to best describe this type:

Warm. Hospitable. Intuitive.

Everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?

The first time I joined Edafio was as an intern. I was in school at UALR and had a part-time job working at the Apple Store in West Little Rock, which was great, but I was looking to get some business experience, specifically in technology. I worked on the NOC, assisting the primary and secondary engineers assigned to Edafio’s clients. After graduation, I accepted a job in Dallas but later moved back to Arkansas, which was the plan. I had an opportunity to join the team as a Client Engagement Leader a few years later after that internship and haven’t looked back since then.

Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Carson, visit our careers page to learn more.
