What is your name, and what do you do for Edafio?

My name is Garrett Passmore and I am a Field Engineer. My job is to meet with our business partners onsite and provide them technical resolutions and expertise.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am originally from Arkansas but have lived all over the world. At an early age I became engrossed in the world of information systems and it is a passion I have carried my entire life.

What brought you to Edafio?

I heard about Edafio at a hacking competition called Jolt at UALR and the company really caught my attention. Once I got close to finishing my degree, I began applying for internships with Edafio and was fortunate to receive one that turned into a full time position.

What do you like to do most outside of work?

When not at work, I spend most of my free time with my daughter doing various art projects, playing music, reading, and getting as much outdoor time as possible.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

“It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.” ― Miyamoto Musashi

What skill do you think everyone should learn?

Personally, I think soft skills are not only important for any job but life in general. Having interpersonal skills aids you in building relationships with those around you and advancing your goals in personal and career development.

Do you have a favorite newspaper, newsletter, book, blog and/or podcast?

Absolutely! My favorite author is Cormac McCarthy and I love his westerns. My favorite by him would be Blood Meridian.
