The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people and their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.

We hope you find each Edafio associate story as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.

Today, we are thrilled to recognize Monae Younger as one of our May Associate Spotlights, who has been an exceptional asset to the Edafio Team. Now let’s get better acquainted with her!

How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?

I joined the Edafio team in March 2022 as an overnight NOC Engineer. My primary duties include providing end-user support, monitoring the network, and managing patch updates.

What do you like most about your job?

My Team! They are absolutely an amazing group of people. Always willing to help and exuding positive vibes.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Visiting Fiji

What advice would you provide to someone interested in your field, i.e., IT?

My advice for someone interested in IT would be to focus on a specific area of interest and work hard to become a subject matter expert. This will help you grow professionally and enable you to share your knowledge with others and contribute to the team’s success.

Monae has been an exceptional asset to the Edafio Team. She consistently shows enthusiasm to help, no matter how big or small the task is. Her positive attitude is truly infectious, and clients and colleagues alike have praised her for her thoroughness and professionalism in every task she undertakes. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Monae and look forward to seeing her continued success at Edafio.”

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

I have learned that it’s okay to acknowledge your limitations and rely on your team to fill in the knowledge gaps. Nobody can know everything.

What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people know?

I love making balloon garlands.

Everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?

During a transitional period with my previous employer, I applied to Edafio to find a company that not only provided opportunities for career growth but also had a positive and encouraging work culture. I connected with Amy and the core values of Edafio right away. Although I’m not sure how she came across my resume, it was definitely a divine intervention. Since joining the team, I’ve learned so much and have been given numerous opportunities to continue learning and helping our clients. I genuinely enjoy coming to work, even if it’s just a few steps from my kitchen, and I feel grateful to be part of such a wonderful company with outstanding leadership, teamwork, and friendly clients.

Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Monae, visit our careers page to learn more.
